Feedback from Newsletter readers:

Thank you for this months newsletter Barbara. It came at a time I really needed this advice. Being an administrator, words are very powerful to me, and as a child never did understand the 'sticks and stone's' theory as to me, words stick and can either do good or fester for years to come, but bones heal. So your words this morning following quite a hard time, has entered my head and begun to heal. THANK YOU. X

I've just read your newsletter and can vouch that it's quite true what you say about " ... we construct our own reality by our thoughts"  This is especially true about Russ!  He's always been a pessimist and no matter how hard I try and change his ways, he will insist on thinking negative thoughts!  So much so, that every time he goes to work he ALWAYS meets a car at what he calls "car corner".  It's a part of the road which has a sharp bend and goes over a small bridge which is very narrow, so there's only ever room for one car either way.  Every time we approach it, he says, "there you are, I always meet a car on car corner" and believe it or not, when I'm with him, he does.  But when I'm on my own, I never do!?!   He's just the same when it comes to having a day off.  "I bet it's going to be really rotten weather tomorrow, no doubt it will rain!" and lo and behold the heaven's open the next day justifying his pessimistic line of thought!  So the fact that "... we construct our own reality by our thoughts" really is true as I've always been an optimist (which is the only way Russ can keep sane as usually one cancels out the other) and when I used to work, every day I had off was always lovely and sunny .....
